Since the age of 5, I have been helping raise children alongside my wonderful parents. They chose to become foster parents, taking care of children who had no one to turn to. Over the years, many children passed through our home. We typically took in infants or 1-2 year old kids, spanning time from 2 weeks to our longest, 6 months. My parents went into it thinking that it would all be temporary, but I am proud to say that during that time, they adopted my 4 siblings and eventually stopped fostering around the time I was entering middle school. I am 20 (almost 21) years old now and I've probably changed more diapers than I probably any other young adult will in their lifetime. I recently was laid off due to financial trouble at the company I was working for, as a secretary, and I am looking to find Read more a job that is semi-flexible, but something that makes a difference. I cannot think of anything better than helping to care for children, because babysitters and nannies leave a mark. They leave an impression on each child they care for and my goal is to make that impression be one that is remembered. I want to work alongside you to help your children grow as people, but to also learn how to enjoy life for all it has to offer. I do not have a typical "babysitting" background, but I do hold a lifetime of experience with children. I wish to expand that experience and I hope you will give me the chance to. Thank you. -Sarah
