Started babysitting at age 14 years many years ago, going rate back then was $1.00 an hour. Now at 52 yrs have raised 3 children, My eldest lives in the Orlando area w/ her husband and three children also so proud she has her Masters degree, so much more to say but there is my son who is in the US Navy w/ a Bachelors degree and has been recognized by the Commanding Officer at every base he has been stationed at thus far and has received letters or coins for his performance. And than there is the youngest at 22, she has been working steadily since 15 and has her Bachelors degree, working. Also I must say I did mos of this as a single parent. He left me for someone else when the youngest two were 8 and 9. So maybe a little to much info, however I Read more feel I know how to raise strong, dependable, creative children. I also still believe in coloring books and puzzles. Very limited w/ television. I did daycare at my children's school for three years and introduced after school clubs such gardening and beading. No certifications, just Mom experience.
