I'm a creative, conscientious, and energetic college grad who likes to play with kids. I have my own car and a clean driving record and always made straight A's in school. I'm Red Cross certified for Infant and Child First Aid and CPR; this certification must be renewed every two years, and I'm going to be re-certified soon. Currently I'm working at the aftercare program of a local school, supervising about thirty children with the help of one other teacher. We make sure the kids are kept safe and happy. My latest job was as a part-time mother's helper for a fifteen-month-old little girl, who I would feed, change, play with, and put to sleep. Before that, I was a part-time nanny for another little girl; she was three months old when I began and a year and a month when she went into daycare. I took care of all Read more of her basic needs and helped her through teething and mild childhood illnesses (constipation, vomiting, etc.). I still babysit for her occasionally. I also have extensive experience volunteering with the children's program at my church, planning lesson plans for the elementary students and teaching them during the Sunday night programs, and teaching the four-year-old class during Vacation Bible School for the past four years or so. I also would volunteer for Parent's Night Out, which mostly involved playing with 2- to 4-year-olds for three hours while their parents took a break. I tutored my neighbor's third-grade student as well. So I have a lot of experience with kids!
