I am a single mother who legally adopted her nephew when he was 3 years old, he is now almost 15. Raising my son has and will be my life's greatest achievement and the most full filling. I am also a Big Sister with the Big Sister/Big Brother organization, going on my 3rd year. I have been matched with a great little girl whom just turned 8 this year, we go on many outings together from getting manicures to going to the library. Our library trips has broadened her reading so much that she was invited to join a reading club at her school, I take great pride in knowing I had a hand in that :-) In order to become a Big Sister I had to have an extensive background check processed, fingerprinting and they also obtained 3 Character references from Family and Friends. The mother/guardian of my lil Read more sister from the organization has allowed me to take her daughter on many of our outings who is the cousin of my little sister. I love arts and crafts, reading and watching animated movies. I also love going for walks and going to the beach, all fun activities I would enjoy sharing with your child/children. I will also assist with homework and ensure they get their chores completed if they have any. I can also do light house keeping and walk pets if needed.
