If you want a very recent one, feel free to run one. :-) I am a married mother of 3 grown children (who are incredible), and a Mimi to four super awesome grandchildren (8 yrs., 4 yrs, and 2.5 yrs, and 5 weeks)! Almost every position I've had, has involved caring for children. Whether it be babysitting (started at age 12), being a Nanny when living in NY (over 20 yrs ago), teaching Pre-k in Sarasota, or working with children and their families, in the Sarasota County Foster care system. Yes, I have been thoroughly background checked. I have been child/infant CPR certified, had first aid training (both recently expired and Read more need to be re-certified, but that doesn't mean I forget how to do it) and was trained by All Children's Hospital as a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (Carseat/Booster seat tech). I really enjoy working with children, they keep me young (though I am only 48), and I love learning from them just as much as I love teaching them. I'm all about engaging the children, through arts and crafts, reading books, doing puzzles, singing, dancing; anything to keep their minds and bodies active! Learning through play! We also have 2 furbabies...so pets are definitely not a problem!
