I am Javaris (or JJ) a fun, mellow 23 year old currently working towards finishing my second degree in International Relations at the University of South Florida, my first degree is in Public Health. I am originally from Jacksonville, FL and have years of experience looking after children, mainly elementary and middle school aged. I started out taking care of family (my little sister and cousins) and friends of family children, mostly agreeing because my mom insisted, and later while in high school I worked as a summer camp counselor for three years. Absolutely loved my camp counselor experience, and while in college I have worked for Hillsborough County Public School after-school/out of school time care (H.O.S.T Program). The after school care program enabled much experience with after school care assistance, program planning, and professional development handling family accounts and paperwork. Whether its reading/writing, making crafts, board games/computer games, or playing outside I have experience with it all. Accompanied with upmost professionalism to ensure safety and effective communication while being down to earth in order to connect with children more in a sense of a caring older sibling instead of an authoritative figure. This is a general overview of my experience and outlook and I would love more opportunity to interact with kids whether its for after school to date night to any special occasions.
