Babysitting takes a good amount of preparation, confidence, and skill despite my experience (I've been watching my niece and my little sister as well as several other children from my church and neighborhood). It has allowed me to develop certain skill sets such as how to think on my feet when unplanned circumstances arise, stay cool-headed when one is upset or injured, and negotiate arguments over toys and games. I'm very patient, sensitive, and very flexible as well as understanding when it comes to the children and I extend that to the parents. For me shaping the mind of young kids and spending time with them fascinates me to this day.
