I am a recent graduate from The University of Tampa Nursing program. Throughout nursing school I found that my favorite clinical rotation was with pediatric patients of all ages. I grew up in the North East and have an older brother and an older sister, both whom I have a great relationship with. We grew up with dogs and cats, and I currently volunteer at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, so i love animals. In high school, I taught gymnastics at the Westport/Weston YMCA to young children from the ages of 4-12. I always had fun but made sure that the children were safe as well as part of my job. I have also been babysitting every summer since I was around fifteen years old on Cape Cod. I live in a small private community with many families who have kids that always need sitters. I work in a Read more restaurant that is part of a country club where I have also been asked to babysit by my customers because of the way I interacted with their children while waitressing. This past summer, I was fortunate enough to travel to Tanzania, Africa for 5 weeks long and work at the Save Africa Orphanage. During my stay there, I taught English, cooked, cleaned, and played with the children who ranged from the age of 3 to 13. I believe that it is trivial to have a positive attitude when working with kids, and that is what I always try and do.
