I have a big family, and with 11 cousins - in my immediate family - things can get a little chaotic. As I am the eldest grandchild, I have always been the one to watch over them when necessary. Frankly, it is because of them that I enrolled in the Early Childhood Teacher Academy in my high school, leading to my Department of Children and Families certification, as well as my Early Childhood Professional certification. I have volunteered, interned, and worked in several preschools, as I intend to make working with children a career. Honestly, I do not see myself doing anything else. The children raised today have the opportunity to be politicians, firefighters, authors, and so on tomorrow. I want to be a part of the society that encourages those aspirations.
