Hello!! My name is Lauren Marcela!! I am a graduate student at Mercer University Atlanta getting my Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. In about seven months, I will be a certified Elementary School Teacher. The preferred grades that I would be happy in teaching would be any grade from Pre-K through Third Grade. Throughout, my undergraduate and graduate years of education, I have had many experiences working with children. These experiences include babysitting, tutoring, working for a non-profit organization for at-risk children, several field experiences at the Elementary school level and working as a small group leader with Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade Students on Upstreet( a faith centered Christian environment for Elementary School Children ) at Northpoint Community church. I am passionate about working with children as both a teacher and babysitter because I absolutely love working with children, I have a passion to help, teach Read more and play with children, I want to make a positive difference in children's lives, I want to make both play and learning fun as well as meaningful and I am still a" child at heart"!! I am known as the " Pop Culture" babysitter because I absolutely love doing age-appropriate "Pop Culture" activities with young kids including arts and crafts, education skills review, reading children's literature books to kids playing games with kids, watching age appropriate TV shows and movies with kids, taking kids to the neighborhood pool, and the park!! I also love doing adult " Pop Culture" activities in my free-time as well.
