I graduate from UGA May 2017 with a B.S in Psychology, and a Spanish minor. I believe that children can thrive outdoors in unstructured play settings, while using non-violent communication to set boundaries that we all agree on. I am applying to get a masters in social work and my goal in life is to share my knowledge of the human body and behavior. I have been a camp counelor at Eco-arts camp in Atlanta Georgia in 2015 as well as a youth mentor at Wild intelligence where I mentor 4-15 year old children in various programs. I spent the summer with 7-8 year olds in an oak hickory forest exploring the river and wildlife. I am yoga certified, and have practiced meditation for 4 years and currently have a daily practice. The studies show mindfulness can increase awareness, concentration and problem solving while decreasing stress, and anger. I hope Read more to share what I know and also learn from children who have so much to teach us. I enjoy going outdoors, and have explored the woods of georgia deeply. I'be identified over 150 bird species and I am familiar with almost all of the trees in our forests. I hope to support your child and you as a parent by communicating effectively to get each of our needs met. I eat a healthy diet full of tons of fruits and vegetables and I know how to cook an array healthy foods. Together, we can thrive by keeping your child safe while at the same time allowing for growth and exploration. :)
