Hi there!  My name is Angel. I am a 26yr old, single, college educated, non - smoker with no children. I live less than a block away from the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains and my commute is always and quick and easy.  I am a member of the International Nanny Association. I am CPR and First Aid trained and a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. I have completed courses in various childcare areas such as Infant Toddler Social Development, Responding to challenging Infant Toddler Behavior, Healthy Eating, Positive Routines and Environments for Infants and Toddlers and SIDS. I have been a nanny for the last 4 years and have experience with infants, toddlers, multiples and special needs such as ADHD, microcephaly, bipolar disorder, speech, congnitive and fine motor delays. Last summer I also had the privilege of working with a NYC child psychologist who had 2 toddlers and was Read more expecting. I also have volunteering experience at a Manhattan shelter for runaway teens and their infants as well as a member of New York Cares.  I believe in good etiquette and being consistent in applying rules in a kind and nurturing manner. I am certain positive reinforcement, descriptive praise, distraction and reflective listening are effective techniques. I love to cook so preparing healthy foods would be fine and I am familiar wth kosher households. I am also NYC savvy and very familiar with the various children's centers and classes around NYC. I am animal friendly and have worked in households with large dogs, even pitbulls and cats. I love the childcare field. It is so fulfilling. I am always willing to accommodate schedule changes and very flexible. I always accommodate earlier days, longer hours, weekend help or even overnights!  Children are so precious!
