Hello, I’m Taner and I look forward to getting to know your family. I am 23 years old and grew up in Dawsonville, Georgia. I am currently living in Auburn, GA. I am in college studying Chemistry with the hopes of teaching one day. I love teaching and working with children to better their future and to find something they are passionate about. I have found this love through many years of child care. I have been babysitting for friends, family, and families I have meet through word of mouth, since age 12. I find babysitting to be a very fun experience, and a change of pace from the usual “everyday” routine. Getting to meet new families and create lasting relationships with kiddos is such a joy I gain from this kind of work. My family and I were so thrilled to hire Taner. Her energy seemed contagious and she expressed her excitement to start the position. On the mornibg she was scheduled to report, she sent a text message saying she wouldn't be there and that she was "sorry for the trouble." She never called to apologize, inform us whether she would still be present for the following commitment, nor did she demonstrate empathy for the significant burden she placed on our family's work/school schedule for not showing up. It was like she simply didn't care. Additionally, she was supposed to show-up two days later to watch our children and she never called to formally resign from her position nor did she show up. Her unprofiessionalism and inability to commit was disappointing and forced my husband to miss an entire day of work/school. Her behavior mimics one who lacks maturity and certainly one of an individual who does not have personal integrity. It made us wonder if she is even responsible enough to care for children if she is unable to have the personal courage to do the right thing when canceling on a sitter position last minute.
