Previously I was a 1st grade teacher who taught English to immigrant kids in a DeKalb County Elementary School. I was responsible for 70+ students. I don't teach professionally now but I adored those kids and miss them immensely. I thought by baby sitting or providing nanny services I can get back to doing something fun, educational and varied. I love being around kids of all ages and abilities! My experience prior to teaching for DeKalb County, I worked at The Boys and Girls Club. I taught the academic component of the program to boys and girls from 2nd - 5th grades. My most personal childcare experience has been with my niece and nephews. The 3 kids and my sister lived with me from ages (10-12), (12-14), (14-16). They are now 16, 18, and 20 years old. I'm still very much involved in their lives. During the school year I Read more see my niece often since she attends Kennesaw State University (formerly Southern Polytech). Lastly, in terms of First Aid and CPR I have quite a bit of training as well. I was formerly in the military and training for these things was ongoing for us. I'm confident that if any emergency or medical situation were to arise I can handle it.
