Like many women I know my first job was as a babysitter. Over the past eight years I've had the opportunity to care for children of all ages. When I was fourteen, I began taking care of children ranging from infants to age 5. I initially began volunteering in my church's nursery. Babysitting then turned into a great, fun way for me to make extra money after school. Once I graduated from high school, my family welcomed the arrival of my sister's son. As an aunt I've had the opportunity to care for my nephew from his newborn days to his current three year old boyhood. I've especially enjoyed watching him grow drastically in the past three years. In the time since high school I've changed my undergraduate major and visited two countries. Over time I've come to the realization that the work I enjoy most is work that allows Read more me to learn about other people, no matter the age. I enjoy working with children because kids are, to put it simply, a lot of fun to be around. Along with that, there is nothing more rewarding than taking part in someone's growth; and after working in the food and service industry for three years I'd like to invest my time and work into children.
