I worked for a doctor and his wife for 22 years. When I first started working for them I was just the housekeeper. Then when Mrs. Bump had to go into the hospital to have her second child they asked me to baby-sit their 5-year-old daughter. I used to take her to the park, play games with her, read children books, ironed her clothes, bathed her and made sure she had a good meal. I also had made sure that my house cleaning worked was completed. After Mrs. Bump got out of the hospital she would also have me to watch her newborn son and her 5-year-old daughter, and I also had to do house cleaning. Then 3 years later she had her third child. I had to baby-sit all of them and do house cleaning around the house. I even took the children to school, doctor appointments, after school Read more activities and to whatever event that they wanted me to take them. I also had to keep the children sometimes on the weekend when they wanted to go out in the evening on the weekends. I enjoyed caring for their kids. Now all of them are in college and I miss them very much. They call me whenever they get chance. I love them like they were my own children. I love all children I feel that they all are so precious and I love to teach them and play games with them and care for them. I feel that caring for children is my calling because I have a genuine interest and love for children. I enjoyed being around children and they enjoy being around me. I have even volunteered at the church daycare to care for children. I also worked at a home day care in Chicago part-time two years.
