I used to be a teacher at Childtime Childcenter for a year in the infant and toddler classroom. I also cross trained in the preschool, prek and afterschool age groups. I worked at a inhome daycare for 2 years dealing with infant thru 3 years of age. Over the years since I was 13 years old I have baby sat family members, children of my parents or children of friends during my adult life.  Apart of my job was to actually sit down on the floor with the children. I see no other way to interact with them except on there level. I am not here to just baby sit, I am here to educate.  I have over two years of experience with Read more newborns up to the age of four.  I am a mother myself and aim to educate, please and entertain children of all ages. I am a repsonsible, caring, heart felt individual. Regarding toddlers and preschool age children:I will not be a childcare professional who will "watch them" watch TV . I come with good values and will enforce your values and rules that you use on a daily basis. I am easy-going, but able to stand up to your children if needed for the more firm parents. I can use time out in the corner for discipline. Sometimes a firm talking to and redirecting of the behavior will work as well in my favor if that’s what you would like. I am someone who will be a friend with your children and someone they will look forward to seeing weekly or as needed. I know how to respect you as well. Respect is a big value in my life. As well as honesty and the "golden rule”. I am someone who is responsible, caring, attentive, and generally enjoy children. I love board games, coloring books and drawing. I also play card games suitable for your children.  I am willing to tidy up your kitchen, do light housekeeping and handle ironing and laundry. I would like to work with up to four or more children at a time. I am legally eligible to work in the United States. The hourly rate I will accept is negotiable. I have worked with newborns to children of one year of age, children one to two years of age, and children two to four years of age. I consider myself to be warm and loving, compassionate, quiet and reserved, well organized, outgoing and responsible, communicative and casua personl. I have some college education. I am a non-smoker and I am 32 years old.
