From a young age my dad always referred to me as, "Little Mommy," because I always wanted to take a hand in taking care of my little brother (we have a five year age difference). I wanted to play with him, bathe him, feed him, even do the dirty work which meant changing diapers. This trend of loving to work with children has continued throughout my life. When I was thirteen I took a course and became a certified babysitter in the state of Georgia, this included CPR certification. I also got my first time babysitting job at thirteen. For a summer I babysat 8 hours each day Monday through Friday. As school began I would continue to babysit for the family on occasion. I continued to have small jobs with friends and work associates of my parents until I began working at a restaurant at age 16. From age Read more 14 to 16 I volunteered tutoring in math and language arts for my school and outside of school. At age 15 I volunteered at a church program titled "Ignite" where every Wednesday and Sunday I would teach classes, help the children in plays, and assist in meal times. I did this for a year until I moved away. I have had several other jobs unrelated to children and care taking. At the age of 16 I began working in a restaurant and stayed there for four months before I had to quit for a summer internship. I have also consistently worked throughout the years for my father's food-bank. Currently I am a full time Dual Enrollment Student at Kennesaw State. This means that technically I am a high school senior but instead I am already at college full time. I do not live with my family. I live close to campus in an apartment. I volunteer weekly at Heritage Hospice.
