As a mother of two wonderful boys ages now are 20 and 21, going through each phase of development and learning from all the mistakes, to helping to rear my niece, and having children stay with us all the time in our small community, my heart has always been fulfilled with this role. My oldest son was diagnosed with childhood ependymoma (brain cancer) at the young age of 16 and was only given 48hrs to live. Through surgery, radiation, and prayers, he is now a father. My youngest son has enrolled in some college classes and is pursuing his career as an Electrician like his father. I have a Bachelor's in Psychology with many childhood development courses. I have worked as a Campus Supervisor with Read more Children with severe disabilities at Morning Star promoting safety and a loving and nurturing environment as these children mostly without parents involvement became like my own. In the medical field for 20yrs having first aid experience and CPR also nursing classes. Personally, I have a passion for the well being and love for children. I have training with children from Unison as a child and adolescent counselor for a year working with six school systems in Waycross Ga. My social and friendly nature means I have a knack of connecting with children and adults from diverse backgrounds and I value the task of building community involvement, which I see as part of working in childcare. Child safety is always at the forefront of my mind and I am cool-headed in stressful situations.
