My name is Ashlyn, and I am 19 years old! I am a college student at Valdosta State University studying Spanish Language and American Sign Language, but I am now out of school until next fall. I am very passionate about literature, I love music, and I am very interested in language arts! My earliest experience babysitting was at the age of 12 years old for a family friend on occasion! Since then, I found that I was very good with children, or rather, children tended to be fond of me! Since then, I have taken care of my oldest cousin's 5 year old son, two year old daughter, and three month old child! I have also worked with children during a community project at my school known as "Shop With A Viking." During the event you are assigned a child you are to look after, and assist them with Read more Christmas shopping and gift wrapping. Additionally, I have volunteered at the "FIeld Day" event at an elementary school with the National English Honor Society. While I was there, I worked one particular game in which I was to instruct the children and oversee the activities. My most official babysitting experience was at my church Crosspointe, where I was hired as a paid childcare worker. I worked with babies, toddlers, and children while the adults conducted Wednesday services. Although most of my experience with children has been volunteer work or favors for friends and family, I am confident in my ability with children and would love to be able to show what I am able to do! I am very trustworthy, gentle, and I've always had a naturally nurturing personality. I am not limited to work with children as I am willing to cook or clean if it is necessary. I have always excelled in school, so I am able to assist older children with assignments if need be.
