As a teenager I enjoyed taking care of babies, toddlers and children from ages four to 6 years old. Children are a joy to be around from their innocent faces to the cutest random things that they say. I have had many experiences raising and taking care of children. When I was a child I used to help my mom take care of my younger brothers. I even taught my second to last brother how to walk and helped my mom potty train him. I started baby-sitting when I was 12 years old. My mom's friends would bring their kids over after school and my mom would watch them as I do my homework but after I'm done I would do the rest. This was a great way for me to earn some money and buy all the cute expensive things my parents couldn't afford and also a way for Read more me to be responsible, and learn how to save. Also, when my mom had my youngest brother, she worked a lot so I would take care of him. In the mornings before school I would get his diaper bag ready for the babysitters and change him if he needed to be changed. Also, after school I would also take care of him. I took care of him from the time he was born until he started Kindergarten (that's when I went of to college). Taking care of him taught me how to feed a baby, burp a baby, take the baby a bath, potty train, and teach the child how to walk. Also, when I became a senior in high school, I was done with most of my classes so I enrolled in Co-op and for the second half of the school semester I worked at the International Academy as an after school teacher. Kids are a joy and I love being around them.
