Hi there! My name is Ben Montedonico. I'm a 21-year old college student who is working on finishing my Bachelors degree in Communications. I've enjoyed working with children since I was 13. I was homeschooled and my mother worked at LGUMC preschool in Locust Grove, and I would go with her and help the teachers keep an eye on the children (ages ranged from 2-4). During the 2012-13 school year I helped the parents of a homeschool group at St. James Catholic Church monitor their children and kept the little ones occupied while the parents taught. I have been part of the youth ministry team for the St. James middle school program since October 2013. And most significantly, I worked at A Friend's House children's shelter in McDonough from February-June of 2014, doing everything from monitoring children and transporting them to giving them their medicine and just being a big Read more brother figure to them. I have never experienced anything more rewarding than working with children, regardless of their age or what my role is in their lives. I hope one day to be involved in some sort of ministry where I get to work with children, especially those in most need of somebody to care for them. For now, I am trying to work my way through college and am looking for some part-time child care work that will allow me to continue working towards graduation.
