I currently babysit for a couple that I have been with for about 4 years now. I used to babysit 1 full day per week but now it's only during date nights/ weekends. As of right now they are spending a semester in France teaching for GA Tech. They can be reached by email for a reference. I enjoy sitting with younger and toddler aged children but am open to teens that are behaved. I have occasionally done laundry for the family while babysitting their son. I do charge extra for laundry. I feed meals as needed and change diapers also. Some of the things I have done for the family I sit for is helping their son with reading, puzzles, basic French language practice, walking to the park or playground and coloring or painting. Im open to doing anything that will assist in the child’s development. My rate is Read more usually 12$ per hour and that rate is negotiable of course based on the number of children and the frequency of days needed. I understand child care is important and expensive, so I hope I may be able to soften the blow a little.  The way that I prefer doing things is to babysit at the child’s home. Im very flexible with my hours and I try my best to be very punctual. I'm sorry but I prefer not to provide vehicle transportation. Im ex-Army, have a BS in psychology from GSU and I have worked in pediatric research for the past 6years. I am certified as a professional in clinical research and I hold a certified nursing assistant certificate. I am married (5years) and have a 18year old son. We live in Gwinnett county and hope to adopt a child one day. Im a simple person and have been given the opportunity to take a step away from the typical work world. I own my own online craft business and that gets most of my attention when im at home. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am open and honest about my life. Just so you know a bit about who I am personally, I think motherhood is the everything. There isnt much in the world that I think of that can top becoming a parent. Unfortunately, I am not able to have anymore children naturally and its disappointing because children bring so much life and energy into a home. I miss that a lot. But I trust that there will be children in my life to care for as my life continues. So I adore the little ones. Especially toddlers.
