Hello! My name is Maureen and I am new to the Savannah area! I just moved here with my six year old yellow lab named Finnegan. Jack of all trades, what do I mean by that? Well, from 2010-2014, I taught Spanish at both the middle and high school levels. I also coached swimming at the high school and recreational (summer swim team) levels. I also have spent time taking care of and walking dogs, whether house sitting or running over in the middle of the day to give them a break. From 2014-2016 I coached swimmers from ages 5-14 in San Diego. I also had the opportunity to nanny for a wonderful family with the most precious little boy. I was with them from the time little man was 3 months until he was nearly two. They are still a huge part of my life and although I am Read more no longer employed by them, I feel as if I have found a second family. As a former teacher, and coming from a big family, I have always wanted to work with children. Throughout my middle and high school years I was a babysitter for numerous families in my neighborhood. After high school, I knew I wanted to continue to help children learn and grow into amazing individuals, so I chose to major in Spanish and secondary education. Having a positive influence on the nurturing and development of my students and swimmers is one of my greatest career accomplishments to date.
