I am currently a 22-year-old Georgia Southern University student living in Cartersville, Ga participating in an internship nearby to finish my undergrad (M-F until around 4 pm). I am a Child and Family Development major with a concentration in Family Services and have worked with kids for about 6 years now. I have babysat, been an AfterSchool Program counselor (2 years), a summer camp counselor (2 summers), tutored (1 year), and just finished being a babysitter for two years for a family in Statesboro, Ga. I have babysat for several families in the Cobb County area as well as some Atlanta area. I absolutely love children and get them engaged in different activities such as board games, cooking/baking, learning, outdoor play, etc. I have a passion for working with children and truly enjoying spending time with them while also having learning pieces in there. I am CPR and First Aid Read more certified for both adults and children. I will to do a home visit and phone calls whatever the family is comfortable with.

Serena is a professional at this position. She was patient with our toddler and was able to quickly redirect him when he got into his own way, and she never wavered in her stance or temperament. I really liked this, and her schooling really shows in how she interacts with him. Serena encouraged him to complete tasks on his own without jumping in immediately to help, and encouraged him when he didn't think he could, and she also teaches through interactive fun play. I can't say enough about how amazingly wonderful she is to have. If you need her help you will definitely get much more than a sitter. My little one asks each time when she will be back, and that makes me smile knowing he enjoyed having her as much as we do.
