A little about myself: I'm 27 years old, and have been a registered nurse for 5 years. I have completed some graduate school but have decided to take a break to allow my family some stability. I have worked in Public Health, WIC, and an addiction recovery unit. I am currently choosing to stay home with our daughter due to my husbands busy schedule as a police officer. Because of this, I am looking for work where I can take my daughter, Thea, with and work while my husband is working (He is gone 2 pm- 12am Tuesday through Saturday). I am hoping to work occasional flu clinics in the mornings to keep up with nursing work so generally my availability would be 2 pm or later. It is also possible if his schedule changes, etc, that some days he would be able to stay home with our daughter and Read more it wouldn't be necessary for me to bring her. I've been babysitting since I was eleven when I started taking care of my two younger brothers. Since then I have babysat for many different families and many different ages of children (infant-teen). I spent a couple summers in high school/college nannying and during school years babysitter on weekends. I have watched up to four children at a time. I have experience in special needs working as a Classroom assistant for non-verbal children ages 10-13, and worked as a camp nurse right after graduating nursing school. I now have had hands on experience around the clock as I have my own child, and watching the children of my friends. Being a nurse, and a mom, I feel I have the ability to not only allow your children to have fun and learn, but to keep them safe and very well cared for. My main philosophy with babysitting is to stick to what parents feel is best for their children: schedules, types of food, activities, etc. I understand how important it is to know your child is in good hands and the person caring for them respects your wishes.
