My past experience working at EB Desilva’s afterschool program, I assisted the group leader in any help he or she needed. I also helped create activities and lastly helped with any concerns the students might have. The thing I learned most from this experience is being an understanding leader and setting a good example for the youth. My past experiences in event planning has allowed me to learn how to stay calm and deal with problems in very stressful situation. It also taught me how to think on my feet and multitask. Lastly all my experiences in the past have had some sort of customer service related to it. This has prepared me in helping parents with any concerns they have with their child. I currently volunteer at Waiakea Waena in a Kindergarten class and enjoy it every day.
