Hi there, I’m a 26 year old artist and aspiring doula located in Brooklyn, NY. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2016 and have been living in NYC since. This year has been a whirlwind! I was recently let go from the design firm I was working at (due to Covid lay offs), which I saw as a unique opportunity to pursue my calling: healing and creative work. I’m taking this time to educate myself in empowering creative practices (I just finished a death doula program!) to better help the lives of those around me. I’ve always felt called to working with children because I feel a personal duty to protect and advocate for them. I thrive in an environment where I can nurture and guide others within a one-on-one relationship, which also speaks to my Read more interest in being a doula. I have a vivid imagination and silly sense of humor which means no game or story will go unexplored. I love babysitting because I love being around special and interesting little humans. I enjoy having active conversations with kids to learn what they think about and how they process the world around them. I’ve been told that I have a grounding and calming presence which I think is especially helpful to younger children who are sensitive to external stimuli. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where your child can freely ask questions and explore their passions and curiosities while also guiding them with compassion, structure, and grace. I stick to using positive language only and believe in problem solving rather than punishment. I avoid screen time and prefer participating in active and imaginative play.
