I'm a very over protective mother who doesn't trust just anyone with my children. When I had to look for a child care provider for my 1 year old son and newborn son I interviewed 35 people either on the phone or in person. Christy was the first person I interviewed from sittercity and from the time I met her there was just something extremely calming about her. She met my 3 year old during that interview and he immediately took a liking to her when she asked if he knew how to play "rock, paper, scissors". He had just learned how to play that and was super excited to play. On her first day of watching our son she showed up early and my son immediately started talking a mile a minute to her wanting to show her everything. Based on our interview she knew what my son liked and had planned a day at the beach which he absolutely loved. A week later she came again and they went on another excursion. I can't say what exactly it is about Christy that puts me at ease so easily but I can only describe it as she has a true and sincere character. Most of all...my son loves her!

Christy has a heart of gold! She has watched my (now) eight-month-old son on a regular basis for two months. She’s extremely patient, kind, honest and very trustworthy! I truly feel like we lucked out by finding her. She has never once been late regardless of how early she started (to include the numerous 5 am start times). She doesn’t watch TV and instead really takes the time to play with my little guy. She takes our son and our highly energetic dog out for long walks. She lets me know all kinds of details about how my baby’s day went, if he did anything new – you name it. I feel completely comfortable knowing that my son is in good hands.

Christy is a wonderful babysitter! I originally hired her to watch my 2 sons (8 months and 2 1/2 years) for 5 full days while I served my active duty time with the Navy Reserves. In addition to those days we've had her babysit for a date night, and several daytime occasions such as doctor appointments. She has handled my very difficult boys very well (I sometimes think better than I do). She is on time, and very thorough, leaving me a note of what the kids ate, when they napped, etc. If she had any concerns about safety, such as a toy that had broken in some way and was unsafe for the baby, she was sure to bring it to my attention when I returned home. The best evidence I have that she was great with my kids is when my 2 1/2 year old woke up on the first morning that she wasn't there and he asked "where's Christy?". Now's that's a great babysitter!
