I remember the first time I began babysitting for those outside my family. I walked across the street to ask the neighbor if I could walk their unruly dogs (they were so loud! haha). Intrigued, she replied, "yes of course! ...and do you babysit?!" That was it. At 15 years of age, I began babysitting two girls and one boy ages 5, 2 1/2, and 13 months. What did I get myself into I later thought? I realized that my love for the children would make it unbearable to detach someday. Since then, I can say that I have loved just about a dozen children from Los Angeles, CA to upstate New York where I ended up for my undergraduate years. I am a free spirit. Which means to me that I am gentle with myself and committed to and endless journey of self-discovery and personal growth. I think unconditionally is the key. I express the love of who I am regardless of who others chose to be in any given moment. I love, love children because they are so pure. So incredible with unlimited potential. To be around children is a blessing. I allow them to be true to who they are, while creating a safe space and loving boundaries.
