I began working with children as a teenager in Vermont… in fact, my first job was working at a daycare! In college while studying social work, I took a special interest in children’s mental and behavioral health. I have worked as a private nanny for children with special needs, as a community based social worker for children and teens, and for the last 5 years as a school and home based behavioral therapist for children with Autism and other special needs. I recently obtained my Master’s of Arts with an emphasis in Exceptional Education and Autism Studies, and plan on sitting for my Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam in December, 2016. I am in the process of starting my own business called Kuleana Care (kuleanacare.com) focused on nannying/tutoring services for children with medical and special needs.
