I grew up babysitting and love children and animals. I've been babysitting since I was 6, starting with nieces, nephews, and cousins. I went on to babysitting for my mom's friends while they were at work when I was in 5th grade and my love for kids grew. As I got older I was able to work with a wider variety of ages starting from newborn to grade schoolers. In high school I wanted to expand my knowledge on child development so I took classes to help me better understand how kids learn and grow. I was also able to work with the kids at my high school that were there for the pre-k services. I made lesson plans and was able to teach the kids myself. I then began to get more involved with being a leader and volunteer for the kids at church. I was either working camps Read more or doing regular day care for Sunday services. I got a part time job working at the church in the child care area. In my years of experience now I've worked with kids from new born to freshman in high school. I have also been able to work with children who have special needs. I have more patience than most people do especially when it comes to children.
