I have been an independent childcare provider since I was 13 years old. I've worked in two after school day care programs, and managed a third as the director for low-income students requiring a safe place and homework help. I spent the past year teaching English in Burma (Myanmar) in southeast Asia, and my students were age 3-12. I absolutely adored every minute of it, even the trying ones. Currently I'm a Youth Coordinator (part time) for EMBARC, a nonprofit in Des Moines that assists Burmese refugees in relocating to the Des Moines area.
