Hello! I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.A. in History and a Museum Studies certificate. For the past three years, I have worked with children in free-play and classroom settings at The Iowa Children's Museum and Kinderfarm Preschool. At the museum, I spent two and a half years working on the museum floor, leading birthday parties, day camps, outreach programs, scout badge events, and a Nature Play program. It allowed me to work with a variety of activities from science experiments to art projects to free play time. I learned how to work with kids ages 0-12 and to balance varying learning styles and interests. As a Kinderfarm Preschool teacher this year, I have had wonderful experiences exploring classroom activities and nature with my students. I also trained in school readiness and social/emotional development. In general, I am organized, responsible, and timely. I have a Read more clean driving record and CPR/First Aid training. I am going to move to Portland in August and I will be taking online classes through Portland State University to earn a Master's in Early Childhood Education. I have been offered a morning preschool assistant job and I hope to supplement that with an after school care position a few hours each day. I am available to interview via Skype most days after 4 Central Time. I will also be in Portland from June 27th- July 2nd to meet in person. Thank you and I am excited to hear from you.
