My name is Ashley and I am a 23-year-old student. My number one joy in life is kids; their inquisitive attitudes and loads of energy make them a joy to be around. I am responsible and dependable, but also fun and energetic. Working with kids for so many years, I have come to understand that children come into the world with a blank slate. The experiences, environments, adults, as well as surroundings are what shape them into who they become. I have had the pleasure of babysitting for multiple different families since the age of 12. During my four years of high school, I volunteered at our district's elementary school for grades kindergarten through third, helping the children to broaden their knowledge in numerous ways. In 2014 for a period of 4 months I nannied for a family of 4 kids (ages 3-9) whose mom had been in a car Read more wreck. For the past 2 years I've cared for another family and have had the pleasure of watching their 2 sweet boys; 2 and 7 grow! I believe that children should be given the ability to become independent individuals by setting limits with positive discipline, praise, and encouragement. Spending time with children is the only work I have encountered in my life that has not felt like work to me.
