I am a mom with 3 children, ages 12, 14 and 21 years. I am currently employed as a Teacher's Assistant in a 4th grade classroom working with children with special needs and low achieving students. I previously worked PT as a nanny for 2 great little boys aged 4 years and 2 years. I have also provided PT daycare in my home for a family of 3 children for 5 years. I started with their only child and then they had 2 more babies which I cared for since they were born. They became part of my family and I really enjoyed taking care of them. Over the past 4 years I have also watched my neighbor's children before school. I am interested in caring for children for occasional date nights or evening obligations. I am extremely comfortable with young infants. When working for another family I believe communication is very important and I Read more care for their children the way they want me to, keeping things consistent, and following their guidelines. My own children are the most important part of my life and treat other children in that way also. I enjoy keeping children busy with activities such as going to the park, reading, art and crafts and any other age appropriate activities. Many years ago I was a nanny for a family with 3 children and I also brought my daughter along. I watched them for 3 years and left to begin graduate school. Before my first child was born I was a lead teacher for 2 year and 3 year olds at KinderCare. I left that position to stay at home with my daugther. I have a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Studies with 6 hours in early childhood education. I have a Masters degree in Social work with school social work concentration. I interned at the YWCA as a sexual assault prevention educator. I went to area school presenting programs about child abuse and keeping kids safe. I then worked there for a year after graduating. I have been home since with my children and then the home daycare mentioned above.
