I first started taking care of/ teaching children at 14 with my first job as a swim coach. I learned quickly that in order for a child to learn or even have a good time one must interact completely and openly with them. Never speaking down and treating each child as the individual human they are. I babysat for numerous kids ages 1 to 12 years of age through high school and continued to teach swim lessons as well as participate in my church's camp as a counselor helping with 3rd graders for three summers. I then became a lifeguard for two years before moving to Illinois. I currently attend Illinois Wesleyan University and will be receiving a Bachelors of Arts in Music Theatre and have babysat for several professors in my time as a student.
