I am currently a Special Education major with a emphasis in learning and behavior at Illinois State University. I worked at my local park district back home in Gurnee, Illinois for 5 years working as a counselor and site director. I was a counselor for a camp that had ages ranging between 6 and 13 with children with disabilities mainstreamed within. As a site director, I was the supervisor of 6 employees and 1 one on one aid. I was in charge of all planning for the 6th through 8th grade camp. In addition, I babysat weekly for multiple families with children ranging in ages and skill levels. I recently worked for an in home agency where I took care of 8 adults with severe disabilities. My daily tasks included bathing, house keeping, cleaning, medication, and transportation. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have a passion for helping Read more others in many different aspects; I have gone on multiple mission trips and have traveled to Tanzania, Africa with the Non-Government Organization Concern Worldwide where I worked in villages learning about government aid and programming.
