I am the mother of two teens, who grew up far too fast, and I miss mothering! I'd love to be another nurturing caregiver in your child's life, if you'll let me. I wanted my own children to be smart, happy, and sociable, and was able to do this through play! I wound up incorporating "sensory integration" (a form of occupational therapy) which actually strengthens brain connections, and enhances IQ! Due to delays my son had, I learned how to beneficially interact with him to minimize his delays through use of direct gross and fine motor physical therapy, occupational, developmental, and speech therapy. I Volunteered at Indiana's Head Start, and served two terms on Germantown, TN's Education Committee. I believe in play interaction with children of all ages and stages, forming relationships with them, and the power of learning through interaction, including play, reading, designing, art, and other mediums the Read more child may be interested in. I have experience caring for two boys, a toddler and infant, as well as a child with nutritional needs recovering from removal of a feeding tube, my own two children, from the age of twelve, an infant and a toddler that lived next door, I cared for about six years. I had great fun with them! The experience taught me alot, since I sat for them from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 am the next day! Please consider me in choosing your next caregiver. :-)
