My name is Talyssa Delgado, 20, and I'm currently a full-time student going into my third year of college at The University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I began my babysitting experience when I was about 14/15 years old, taking care of children for various family and friend groups. When I was 15 years old I worked for this organization called The Miracle Center, where the company's motto was "where children's dreams become a reality." I have always been an individual with a bubbly personality and loves working with kids and working for TMC gave me the opportunity to do so. I collaborated with other teens and adults and worked with children by exposing them to theater/plays , dance, singing, writing, and other performing arts activities. I participated with this organization for a few years and then moved onto pursue an opportunity with summer park district programs. When I turned 18 Read more I was a camp recreational leader where I was assigned 20 kids 7 hours a day for 5 days a week. I absolutely loved this opportunity and knew that creating activities for them to do each day while implementing a sense of health and fitness into their lives, was something I would always admire. I'm also CPR certified, which is an important certification to have when working with children. Throughout the years, I've been exposed to a variety of children with different interest and expectations at various times, I feel like my active and on-the-go lifestyle has allowed me to better understand each child's needs. I'm friendly and loving, a great cook, organized, and punctual. I have no criminal records, I'd also be more than willing to do a background check if that was asked of me. My experience with children has varied over the years, and I hope to continue to tend and or work/care for them because I personally find growth and pure enjoyment when being able to do so.
