Hi! My name is Kelsey, I'm 26 years old and an alumna of the University of Illinois! I started babysitting for kids in my neighborhood when I was 12. In 2009 I got my first nanny job. I worked 40 hours a week for three summers. The family had two children, a boy (9) and a girl (10). Three years ago, I travelled to Italy for three months to work as an Au Pair. I did all of the cooking, cleaning and looking after of the two boys, 2 and 3 years old. I have a background in Waldorf education, so I'm very passionate about helping children "learn through doing" rather than just memorizing. I also think it's very important to foster a love of activity and the outdoors. Reading is one of my favorite past times and I think it is extremely important for children today to read, even Read more with all the electronics available. I love reading out loud to younger children and helping them learn to read for themselves! I love animals of all kinds and would be happy to help out with yours. I'm fluent in German and Swedish, as well being semi-fluent in Italian and familiar with French and Spanish.
