My name is Jasmine Dahm. I am originally from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, and I am currently a junior at DePaul University pursing a degree in Elementary Education. While growing up in Minnesota, I was a competitive figure skater. I figure skated for twelve years, and was even able to represent Team USA in synchronized figure skating my senior year in high school. After spending countless hours at the rink, I began to teach Learn to Skate classes to 3-12 year olds. It was here that I realized my love of working with kids. Since coming to Chicago for college, I have babysat for several families, with children ranging from 3 months to 10 years old. In babysitting for these families I have picked the kids up from school, prepared meals, driven kids to sports practices, helped with homework, and prepared kids for bed. In addition, I was Read more a camp counselor at Steve and Kate's Camp this past summer. As a babysitter, I love to take the kids outside, and to keep them busy with fun games and activities. I also love to read with the kids and am pursuing an education concentration in elementary Language Arts.
