I am currently a Pediatric nurse at Lurie Children's Hospital, working in an outpatient care role and simultaneously working towards my masters and family nurse practitioner (FNP) license. Prior to this position, I spent over 3 years as a nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Loyola University Medical Center, and loved every second of it. I am very passionate about the Pediatric population, and consider myself to be extremely lucky to have the nursing experience that I have in such a short amount of time. I am CPR/BLS/Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified. I was a Patient Care Technician prior to graduating as well, where I gained experience in effective patient care and time management related to patient care. Throughout middle school, high school and for my first two years of college, I was a regular sitter for a number of families in Albuquerque, New Mexico - my Read more hometown. I also was a nanny for one summer in college for my Aunt's two young girls (ages 4 and 3 at the time) and her newborn infant, as my Aunt got back to work after giving birth.
