I am 26 years old and new to the Chicago area from Canada! I am currently a professional educator within the Chicago school system. I have a passion for inspiring young minds and watching children grow socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Ever since, I was 12 years of age, I babysat. I babysat for 5 families in my neighbourhood, and some of their children were as young as 3 months. Holding two degrees, Social Work, and Education, I have always been surrounded by children ages infants to teenage years. I have proven to provide excellent care for children and it was with confidence that I can say I have natural motherly instincts. I am a very energetic, motivated individual who would be willing to not only look after the needs of your child(ren), but would also be happy teaching your children and assisting them with their homework if you felt comfortable. My most recent job was at a Montessori school in Canada where I worked with young infants and toddlers providing daily physical care. I had an excellent rapport with the parents and children. It was a very fulfilling experience for me. Lastly, and importantly, I am CPR and First Aid trained as of January 20th, 2015.
