I've taken care of and taught dozens of kids. I worked in a preschool for 2 years, a home Daycare for 1 year, and I babysit on weekends. I love working with kids, whether I'm teaching, changing diapers or putting them down for a nap. It truly is a fulfilling job. I am CPR/FIRST AID Certified. I speak enough Spanish to teach children their shapes, months, days of the week, colors, and numbers. I enjoy having fun with kids. We draw, color, paint, play, read, sing and dance together, all while learning. I love spending time with children, and they love me!!

I have worked with Arika since she she was a teen and my son was an infant. She is always a pleasure. My son Jalen loves her. She has watched him in her spare time over the years and always my go to person when I need childcare whether its before/after school care or weekends. She is very responsible and reliable. She not only interacts with him but she has a way of calming him when he isn't on his best behavior. She has been a big help with his school work and taking him to his outside activities. When he was little she didn't just watch him, he always learned something new when they were together.

I attempted to schedule a phone interview with Arika M. and was met with inability to follow basic directions to schedule said interview. I sent her a message via SitterCity foregoing continuation and thanked & wished her good luck. Arika M. messaged me back saying she did not understand what she was unable to follow (e.g. including phone number, confusing a phone interview with an actual babysitting shift). I responded so she might avoid simple mistakes that are not taken lightly from a mother with regard to her child. In response I was sent a most combative and entirely unprofessional response. Not appropriate behavior from ANY person, let alone a young adult applying for work with attitude.
