Hi parents! I'm a mommy of 2- a 5 year old and a 2 year old with tons of experience under my belt. Outside of taking care of my own babies, I have been babysitting for many years in diverse environments. I started out young, taking care of little ones at church daycare (where I still help out and teach Sunday School occasionally) and summer camps, and transitioned into full time work with children in their homes. I currently work part time at a home daycare, taking care of up to 8 little ones at a time. When my son started daycare, I couldn't help feeling helpless and worried every time I left him crying and reaching out for me as I left for work. I remembered that feeling, and what he must have gone through, once I started working at a home daycare. I strive to give them the Read more most loving environment while they're away from mom and dad, while also providing a safe and fun experience they will be excited to wake up for every day! Ever since I can remember, I have always felt a calling for working with children. I am currently trying to pursue a degree in teaching, after flip-flopping from a career as a doula, although my passion for infants is still as strong as ever. I am very good with homework help/tutoring and I love getting creative and doing arts and crafts. When the weather permits, I would rather be outdoors somewhere with the little ones, rather than be holed up indoors. I am close to getting my CPR/First Aid certification. Ideally I would like to grow with a family, and looking for a long term position, but if it's not possible, and I am right for your family, I am open to discussing options.
