Hello everyone! My name is Christy! I am originally from Orlando, FL, but I am currently living in Chicago, IL. I 've been working with children of all ages for over 10 years. During that time, I've served as a tutor, babysitter, child development specialist, teacher, and volunteer. I knew working with children was my passion so I decided to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development and Education at the University of Central Florida. I graduated with my B.S. in December of 2013 and moved to Illinois a few months later to pursue my Masters degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am currently living in Chicago, IL where I am pursuing a MSW (Masters of Social Work) at the Erikson Institute of Child Development. I currently work at Erikson Part-time as a Facilitator for the Calm Classroom program, Read more which is a mindfulness-based social and emotional learning program for children in Kindergarten-second grade. I am looking for some work babysitting as a backup babysitter. I have worked with children from 6 weeks old-16 years of age and am very flexible in my schedule. I am first aid/CPR certified. I am also a fitness enthusiast and I love being active! Additionally, I enjoy cooking, baking and doing arts and crafts.
