Hi, I am Samantha Marszalec. I am 24 years old and am currently studying to get my MSW from Loyola University. I graduated with my bachelors in science in 2016 from Central Michigan University and majored in psychology. I am very passionate about working with children and have been doing so for the past 6 years. I nannied from 2013-2016, worked at a Domestic Violence facility from 2016-2017, and worked as a home visitor for at risk mothers and their babies ages 0-3 from 2017 until starting school recently. I nannied for 3 boys ages 3, 5, and 7. My duties included planning activities, tutoring, preparing meals, transporting the children, working on development, emotionally support, and spending quality time with the children. I formed a solid bond with these children as well as their parents. I cared about these children in an inexplainable way and this is why I would Read more like to continue nannying. I believe my experience as a home visitor furthered my knowledge and passion. I did weekly home visits with these mothers and mainly infants working on parent-child interaction and developmental skills. During these home visits we also focused on mental health, attachment, and safety. I feel as though I am trustworthy and nurturing. I believe those are two of the most important qualities to have as a nanny because parents need to know their children are safe and loved. I have also been babysitting since I moved to Chicago occasionally on weekends for a family with a 3 and 5 year old. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have certifications in CPI, infant mental health, mindfulness, domestic violence core training, Healthy Families of America core training, and substance abuse training. I am free anytime except on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30am-2pm because at those times I am in class. Feel free to connect with me!
