My name is Miranda Rydel. I am from Chicago and am currently a freshman at Fordham University looking to be a caregiver over the summer. I have been babysitting for the past eight years. I attended a babysitting camp when I was about 10 years old. At this camp I learned all about how to be a good, responsible care provider, proper babysitter etiquette , and CPR. I started working in the Nursery at my Church when I was in eighth grade. In the nursery I learned how to care for children who are just a few months old, to those who are four years old. I also have experience caring for children who have learning and/or developmental delays because both of my brothers have learning and developmental delays and severe anxiety disorders. My family recently got a Puppy, we also have a Guinea Pig, and Aquariums, so I am Read more comfortable taking care of pets as well. Through my experiences as a caregiver for my siblings, children at Church, and families in my neighborhood I have learned a lot about how to work with many different types of kids, ensure that they are safe, and that they also have fun. I can cook balanced meals and I also clean the space when I have a free moment. I love working with children and teens, it is so rewarding to be able to watch them develop into the intellectuals that they become.
