I wanted to formally introduce myself, my name is Lesley Perez and I have recently graduated from my Master's program in Bilingual Childhood Education in City College of New York. I did my undergraduate in Stony Book University as a double major in History and Spanish Language and Literature in addition to attending Spain's Universidad de Alcala in a language-based program. I have always known since I was a child that I wanted to become a teacher. I was born and raised in New York and have been a product of public education. Since then I have experienced teachers who believe in me and push me to expand my horizons. I want to offer that joy of learning to every child I interact with and hope to continue the spirit that was given to me when I was a child. Ready to pursue a career in education, I worked as Read more a prekindergarten assistant teacher at Stony Brook University and became a tutor for New York City Learning Champion. I worked as a preschool teacher at CitiSchool in Soho, teaching both 3's and 4's program as well as art, Spanish, and science classes. I just recently finished my student teaching in a dual language program in Dos Puentes Elementary P.S. 103 located in the heart of Washington Heights. During this time I also ran my own private classes, tutoring in art and Spanish in Tribeca. I have an innate passion for this teaching profession and I love what I do. I am currently a preschool teacher in Chicago.
